What’s a typical day as an Assembly/Braze Specialist? You’ll be:
- Performing pre-operation checks for machines and work area to ensure safety.
- Assembling conical bit bodies, braze material, and carbide tips.
- Operating braze line, press, and clipper or pack station at optimal levels.
- Inspecting parts to meet established ISO requirements.
- Supporting functions and change-overs to meet established due dates.
- Tracking and problem-solving materials used and efficient equipment use to reduce costs.
- Managing work-in-progress (WIP) and components inventory.
- Participating in lean events and utilizing lean processes in daily duties.
- Performing daily required TPM on associated equipment.
- Performing daily required 5S activities for work area.
- Gathering and posting established metrics.
- Accurately and timely recording required data.
